Subramani Chami has been named the Pakatan Harapan candidate for Bukit Kepong in the 16th Johor State Election, one of 56 seats the coalition is contesting across the state.

Subramani Chami stands as the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) candidate within the Pakatan Harapan coalition, which is chaired by Prime Minister Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim. The coalition brings together PKR, DAP and Amanah in a unified slate fielded across all 56 Johor state constituencies.

As one of 56 seats up for grabs, Bukit Kepong represents another front in Pakatan Harapan's effort to win a governing majority in Johor under the leadership of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

As a PKR candidate, Subramani Chami runs on Pakatan Harapan's reform-driven, Malaysia Madani platform of good governance, economic opportunity and clean administration. PKR is contesting 20 of the coalition's 56 Johor seats.

Pakatan Harapan's selection process for the Johor election was rigorous, with the coalition evaluating more than 1,000 potential candidates before finalising its 56 names. The slate blends established leaders, professionals and fresh faces, reflecting the coalition's bid to present a credible, governing-ready team to Johor voters.

As the July 11 polling day approaches, Subramani Chami joins Pakatan Harapan's statewide push to win Johor. Early voting takes place on July 7, with nominations confirmed on June 27.
